Friends behind the adventures
Potato is curious, cheerful and always ready to explore. Yeti is soft, kind and full of ideas—although her ideas don't always go quite to plan.
Small, brave and endlessly curious.
Fluffy, loving and wonderfully clumsy.
Pip is our tech-savvy hamster, helping turn Yvette's drawings and ideas into AI illustrations that bring Potato and Yeti's adventures to life.
From the very first drawings
I’ve found my original drawings for the very first book I wrote for Payton when she was seven!
I know AI illustrations aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I love using AI to help bring my stories and characters to life. It still takes time and creative input—giving instructions, checking each picture and making changes until it feels right. There’s often plenty of trial and error!
As a first-time author, paying for an illustrator isn’t always within reach. I’m also practising my own drawing, with the goal of eventually illustrating my books myself, and I’m loving the challenge!
Seeing these early pictures reminds me where it all started—a story for my daughter. ❤️
